How a campaign works
You write the brief and set the rate, editors make the edits, and you pay for the views they deliver. Here is the whole thing, step by step.
- 01
Write the brief
Set the rules an edit has to meet. Editors see them exactly as you write them.
Start by picking what the campaign is for.
Music. Editors make edits that use your song as the sound.
Content. Editors make edits about a film, a game, a product or anything else you are launching.
Logo. Editors put your logo on the edits they are already making.
Then write the rules. Requirements are split into what gets an edit approved and what gets it rejected, and an editor reads them on the campaign page in your words, not a summary of them.
You can also set the limits: the most any single post or any one account can earn, a minimum view count before an edit earns at all, a minimum engagement rate, a follower floor, and a cap on how many edits one account may submit.
- 02
Set the budget
Pick a rate per million views and a total budget. It only goes down as views arrive.
The rate is an amount per 1M views and starts from $250 per 1M. The budget is the total you are prepared to spend, from $1,000 up.
The budget is a ceiling, not a commitment. It comes down as verified views arrive and it cannot be overspent.
Whatever the campaign does not spend is not spent. Unused budget is returned.
- 03
Watch it land
Every edit, who posted it and what it earned, on a private link you can share.
Once your campaign is live it appears on Explore, editors start posting, and every edit is listed as it arrives.
View counts are read from TikTok's own API rather than reported to us, and refreshed on a cycle, so the figures you are looking at are the ones you are charged against.
The report opens on a private link with no account needed, so you can send it to anyone who needs to see it.
- 04
What you actually pay
The budget, plus a platform fee on top of it.
Our fee is 20%, and it is charged on top of the campaign budget rather than taken out of it. A $1,000 budget is invoiced as $1,000 plus 20%, and editors draw against the full $1,000.
The fee is fixed to your campaign when it is approved, so a later change to our pricing does not re-price a campaign you have already agreed.
You build the campaign yourself and we review it before it goes live. It goes live once the budget is paid, and that can be the same day.
At the end, a person reads every edit against your brief. Anything that broke it earns nothing and you are not charged for it.
Build it yourself and see the whole cost before you commit to anything.
Common questions
What is the smallest campaign you take?
$1,000 of budget, at a rate from $250 per 1M views.
Is the fee taken out of my budget?
No. The 20% fee is charged on top, and editors draw against the whole budget you set.
What happens to budget the campaign does not spend?
It is returned. You are only charged for views that were delivered and verified.
How do you know an edit really promoted my campaign?
A person reads every edit against your brief before anything is released, and on a music campaign that includes checking it used your sound.
How soon can a campaign start?
You build it yourself, we review it, and it goes live once the budget is paid. That can be the same day.
